Auto Results entry using R.DOC results files

How to make R.DOC files.

  1. Download .XRD results charts from BRIS and get them into the same directory with your Stk2000 data files.
  2. Start Stk2000 and click "File > Results". A window will open showing the .XRD results files.
  3. Click the XRD results file and Stk2000 will make an R.DOC results file and load it.
  4. Click "File > Save" to save the loaded R.DOC results file.
  5. At this point you can Auto-Enter results into the corresponding data file by clicking the blue bar above the track info text area.
Stk2000 can also use the Free results charts and free data files produced by FreeDocs
Check the resulted data file before saving it.
  1. There are several problems that frequently show up in results files that can cause auto-results to fail.
    • A horse that is in the results file is not in the handicapped data file.
    • A horse's blanket number is out of post position sequence.
    • A race is out of sequence. Race 9 and 10 are the first races in the file followed by 1, 2, 3, etc.
  2. After checking and making sure the data in each race is real, save the resulted race day file by clicking File; Save from the Main screen file menu.

Notice the Blue bar above the Race Description Box.
When the blue bar is present, the file does not contain the handicapped data.
The Blue bar means it is Rerun Data used by the Simulator to replay the race.

The Rerun data file contains the pace figures and finish figures developed by the horses as they ran the race. Do not confuse the Rerun data file with the handicapped data file. Even when the blue bar is not present make sure the data in the Class column is not all 10's. All 10's in the Class column indicate that the file is the rerun file even if the blue bar is not present. In this case, be careful not to overwrite your handicapped data file with the Rerun data. This can happen if the resulting function failed for some reason.

If a horse name is in the data file but is not in the rerun file it is assumed to be scratched. If the name is in the rerun file but is not in the data file, the resulting function is aborted and the rerun data remains in the loaded file.
